May Wellness Focus: Physical Wellness
It's time to get out and enjoy the longer days. Walking is an easy way to help maintain a healthy weight, keep your joints strong and live longer. It doesn't matter what age you are walking is beneficial for all. Now that the snow and ice have melted, go for a walk outside. Regular walking's effects are amplified when you take a stroll in nature. Walks can also be made social with a neighbor, good friend or partner. It can help you feel more connected and happier.
Minnetonka has amazing trails for walking. It actually has 24 parks with walking/hiking trails! Go to minnetonkamn.gov to find out more about the trails located near you. So, grab a friend and some hiking shoes and hit the trails.
