Into Darkness
It is easy to feel isolated in this cold and dark time of year. Perhaps you’ve moved recently and are now hours away from family and friends. It doesn’t have to be physical distance, though. With everyone’s varied and busy schedules, it’s easy to live within a few miles, yet be unable to find a time that works for everyone to gather. Alone in the dreary cold of winter, it can be difficult to remain positive.
Remember that the savior was born into this same darkness, a light to illuminate the world. That is not to say that everything will be perfect, but that the darkness does not hold sway over everything. The light of God comes to us in the form of a baby laid in a humble manger.
So if you are feeling alone, tired, or sad this Christmas season, know that those feelings are okay. But also know that God and your loved ones care deeply about you. Look for the light.
