Second Harvest Intergenerational Serving Event
According to a study done in 2021, one out of every six households experience food insecurity. When someone is experiencing food insecurity, they may wonder on a regular basis where their next meal will come from. Second Harvest Heartland is the largest food bank in Minnesota that fights against food insecurity. They serve many families right here in our own community as well as sending food to food pantries all over Minnesota and Wisconsin so they can serve their communities too.
Join us on October 9th during our serving time from 6-8pm as we spend the evening serving at Second Harvest. We invite those of all ages to serve with us. Kids as young as 8 years old can serve. Each time serving at Second Harvest is a different experience. You may be working with fresh produce or packing bags for individuals. If you would like to serve with us, reserve your spot here. Second Harvest is located in Brooklyn Park.
