Advent Acrostic Poem (WordWorkers)
As snow falls and
Days grow short,
Valleys and mountains
Echo the first calls of
Noel
To the world.
Here we await
Our infant Lord,
Peaceful and long-
Expected redeemer.
After our first candle is lit
New hopes of the season come:
That we might know peace
In turbulent times and that we might
Capture some of the faith that has wavered.
In hoping for safety and health we pray
“Please, Lord
Anticipate
The needs we see and those
Insensible to us. We cannot foresee
Our own good and too often we
Neglect the good in others.”
Just as we are, you come to us this season.
Open our hearts and minds to receive
You merrily and humbly.
Live within
Our hearts. Help us to understand the
Vastness of your great love, in the gift of the Savior.
Expecting you now, we rejoice.
