All
Saints Job Transition Ministry
In
early 2000 All Saints had a Job Transition Ministry
for the folks who needed to find a new position at that time. This ministry
was revived several months ago but with a different emphasis.
Now, with
the current economic situation, there are many groups who offer free and
comprehensive job transition services within our nearby community. Therefore,
we want to compliment rather than duplicate their programs. We hold monthly
Job Transition meetings on the second Tuesday of every month. These meetings
provide a way to deliver individual help to job searchers. If it is appropriate,
we will refer them to nearby job transition programs and we will also
connect them to the larger network of the All Saints Congregation.
Since networking,
networking, networking, is the key to possible re-employment, we are asking
the congregation to assist in networking for those who need jobs. There
are two steps to the networking process:
If the company
you work for, or if you know of neighbors, friends or relatives who may
know of possible positions, please fill out a Business Contact Form (which
you will find below), on the Job Transition bulletin board, or at the
Welcome Center. You may drop the form off at the office, fax it (952.934.3559)
or email it to Chris at cheiberg@allsaintsmtka.org .
If you are
seeking employment, please complete the Job Seeker Profile Form found
in the same places listed above.
Both of these
forms will be maintained by Christine Heiberg during office hours only.
(M-F 8-4) The forms will be kept for 8-10 weeks. After that they must
be updated.
We hope this
is helpful. If you have additional suggestions, please contact Tom Chambers
at 612.669.8495.
