Habitat For Humanity

Our 2011 project was in Shakopee. It was brutally hot early in the week but we persevered. There were 15-19 people working each day. A total of 36 different people worked on the house, and 17 people provided food. If we follow our schedule of a house every two years, we will work on another house in 2013. Thanks to all who worked at, prayed for and contributed to this habitat house.

Our Habitat 2009 project was at 114206 Hundertmark Road in Chaska August 17 - 21. We had a great group of people working onsite, planning meals and helping in many other ways. Thanks to the entire congregation for supporting us with your prayers, and for providing funding for our workweek through Building God's Kingdom. It was a great week and we made noticeable progress even with all the rainy days. We put in all the windows and doors, put up quite a bit of siding, finished shingling the roof, made significant progress toward building a porch, and successfully put in an egress window for the lower level. The egress window was particularly challenging because of the rain and mud!
