Sunday School
We’re thrilled to have about 275 children active in our Sunday School
program. Sunday School happens during the 9:30 and 11 a.m. services from
Rally Day (mid-September) to Memorial Day (end of May) for 3 year olds
through Junior High. If you would like to register your children, stop
by the office and fill out a registration form or bring your child to
the Welcome Center on Sunday morning. Someone will be available to escort
you and your child to your child's group. If you prefer, you can now print
out forms for 9:30 Sunday
School and 11:00
Sunday School.
Please call Jennifer Johnson,
the Director of Children's and Family Ministry (952.934.3550) with your
questions or comments.
Another component of our Children's
ministry is the Saturday Morning Adventure series. These adventures
run in the fall from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. (except for the 5th Grade Communion
Adventure which runs from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.) and are designed for
the preschool and elementary Sunday School child and their parent(s) to
experience together. The Adventures include 1st Grade Advent, Birth
- 5 and 2nd Grade Faith in Family, 3rd Grade Bible, 4th Grade Prayer,
5th Grade Communion and 6th Grade Mission. Please check the
Children's Ministry Planning Calendar for specific times and dates.

ROTATION Sunday School
We have a dynamic way of doing Sunday morning Christian Education
for our elementary children (preschool Sunday School is traditional classroom
Sunday School). Rotation Sunday School has kids gathering for kid-friendly
worship and then "rotating" with their class to one station
for the rest of the morning where they will learn about the Bible story
in an active, creative way. There are many strengths of this Sunday School
model, not the least of which is the chance for kids to learn about one
Bible story for 3-4 weeks in a row, experiencing the story thorugh different
modalities at stations such as Holy Wood (drama), Garden of Eatin' (cooking)
and Creation (Art). Please help yourself to the information posted
at the drinking fountain bulletin board where we are featuring Rotation
Sunday School and other Christioan ministry information. There is
a helpful brochure available there which explains the Rotation Model and
invites you to consider how you can be a part of this incredibly exciting
ministry with our children.
